If you are looking for your special event to stand out or remain in your guests’ memories, then the sound of the Highland Bagpipes is the answer.
Whether it is to play the bride down the aisle or to ignite the memories of loved ones, the sound of finely tuned bagpipes can enhance and bring together ceremonies that are unique and memorable. A professional and bespoke service for any event can be tailored to your every need. Our Glasgow bagpipers are more than happy to discuss your thoughts and plans to ensure your event is memorable and special.
Allander Pipers understands the importance of professionalism, punctuality and reliability. No matter what your event is, Allander Pipers want the music to be at the heart of your event and offer only the best service to provide this.
We cater for all occasions such as weddings, funerals, birthdays and corporate events. Our pipers are professional and courteous and always punctual and well turned out. We offer different services and uniforms to suit every occasion.
If you require a Glasgow bagpiper for the full day, they will welcome your guests half an hour before the ceremony commences and if required, pipe the bride down the aisle to your wedding tune requested. It is also possible to pipe the happy couple out of their ceremony. At the wedding breakfast/dinner, your piper will pipe in the guests of the top table and then followed by the happy couple.
But if you only require a piper for the ceremony, no matter where it is, the piper will welcome your guests prior to the ceremony with a variety of tunes, play the bride into the ceremony with your requested tunes and finally, accompany the happy couple out of the venue. Whatever your needs, we are happy to meet your requests on your special day.
A really lovely post which Bruce and Jenni loved. Everyone I talked to said what I wonderful job you did, the Pipes just adds that special touch to an event, I thought you were outstanding. Many thanks again.
We booked Alan to pipe at my father in laws funeral last week and we were delighted with the service. Alan took the pain out of this part of organising by dealing directly with the funeral director including times, arrangements and payment.
"Having Alan at our wedding made the event so special and provided beautiful music for our church yard wedding. Despite a 6 month delay due to COVID, Alan was flexible, professional and was relaxed on the day."
It's my third wedding of the year and it's the last week in October!
I'm glad to say that I'm back in one of my favourite area's of Scotland, Lochaber! to be precise St John's church, Ballachulish near Glencoe. Autumn is in full glow.
We really enjoyed having Allander Pipers play at our wedding! We are not originally from Scotland and it was wonderful to have traditional music playing as we walked out from the ceremony.
Alan,
I just wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you from myself and all the family, you did a great job and made the whole service so much more dignified. My dad must be so proud of his beautiful send off.
Many Thanks,
Stephen McKinnon
Today I have been asked to play at the wedding reception of Christophe and David at the splendid venue of Studio 93in Garriochmill Road, right next to the stunning Botantic Gardens.
I had been asked about a month ago to play the pipes at my friend Ciorsti’s wedding at Bonawe House, Taynuilt near Oban. Naturally I said yes so, ALLANDER PIPERS was on the road up north.
It’s Friday evening and I’m heading out to Govan to Play with the Govan Schools and Community Pipe Band for the crowning of the Queen ceremony at the Govan fair.
Today I visited St. Mary’s primary school in Maryhill, Glasgow. It’s the grand opening of their new MUGA (multi use games area).
I had been asked to play the pipes for the arrival of their V.I.P. guest but had been sworn to secrecy as to who it was.
It’s a cold crisp Saturday afternoon at the Cottier Bar, Restaurant and Wedding venue in the heart of Glasgow’s Westend and I’m at one my favourite venues
It was a great pleasure to have Alan playing at our Burns Supper. He added a real touch of Scotland to our event and I’m sure it’s not just the community council that will be looking forward to having him back in our village again.
‘Alan is a highly professional musician who plays to the highest standard. He is a real people person with a passion for piping and he provides a friendly, professional service’
